The different figs from Turkey are distinguished by their method of preparation. Each designation (Baglama, Lérida, and Protoben) refers not to a variety of fig, but to its method of preparation. The Protoben Fig is slightly stretched to give it curved shapes reminiscent of a pear. It is then arranged with its counterparts, overlapping each other. Its generous size gives it a unique softness.
