Just open the package and spread it right on cracker. Our Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo is shelf stable. We also recommend that it is kept refrigerated long-term for quality because the fat can separate overtime, but refrigeration is not a requirement for safety. Our Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo has a 10-12 month shelf life. We stamp the salami with a 12-months "Best if Used By" date from the day they are packaged and try hard to not ship any with less than 10-months left.
