Running a free shipping promotion means the retailer doesn't have to pay for shipping on their order with you.
When am I responsible for covering free shipping?
When you offer a free shipping promotion, you agree to cover the full shipping cost for the retailer. If you use Ship with Faire, you may still print one of our labels, but the cost of shipping will be deducted from your payout. If you use Ship on your own, you won’t be reimbursed on orders placed while your promotion is running.
You won't be charged a commission on the shipping cost deducted from your payout when you cover shipping.
When is Faire responsible for covering free shipping?
There are some cases where Faire will cover the cost of shipping, even if you’re running a free shipping promotion.
Faire will cover free shipping for the retailer if:
- The retailer is an Insider member and pays a monthly fee for free shipping with select brands unless your free shipping order minimum is lower than the Insider order minimum the retailer sees
- If you use Ship on your own to fulfill an order covered by a retailer’s Insider membership, Faire will still only reimburse up to a set amount
- Brands participating in one of our pilot programs to split the cost for Insider members will still be charged for 50% of the shipping cost, with Faire covering the other 50%
- The retailer signed up using your Faire Direct link within the last year, and is still covered by our welcome promotion
-
The retailer is purchasing from a new brand on Faire, and free shipping has been applied to their order
- Retailers may also sometimes see free shipping applied to an order when purchasing from a new brand. In these cases, the shipping is covered by Faire and is not the responsibility of the brand.
How do I add free shipping to an order?
You can add a one-time free shipping promotion to an order that’s already been placed, as long as the order hasn’t been fulfilled.
