Insider is our paid membership program for retailers. US and Canadian retailers who sign up for the membership program will receive the following benefits:
- Free shipping on thousands of brands, selected by Faire. Some require a minimum order to qualify.
- Exclusive, early access to Faire’s online buying events and new brand arrivals on the site.
We have more than 100,000 Insiders shopping on Faire today. These buyers not only drive 80% of Faire sales, but they also buy twice as much as non-Insiders overall, and most of their spend is with brands that have free shipping.
How does Faire determine if my brand is covered for free shipping with Insider?
Insiders will see free shipping on your brand when the estimated cost to ship is below 6% of the order value. We use the retailer’s location and your prior reported shipping costs to estimate the shipping cost and determine eligibility. If you are participating in The Insider Partnership for North American brands your Insider free shipping coverage is extended to 13% if you're an Insider Partner or 10% if you're an Insider Partner Basic.
At this time, there is no way to request that your brand be covered for shipping for a specific retailer. We assess Insider's free shipping coverage regularly, and occasionally make adjustments based on the estimated shipping costs.
How often does Faire change who is eligible for Insider free shipping?
We refresh Insider coverage on a quarterly basis to ensure the cost-effectiveness of Insider free shipping and, when shipping costs between a brand and retailer are consistently higher than the eligibility threshold (% of the order value), an Insider that previously had free shipping on your brand may lose Insider free shipping eligibility. Similarly, some Insiders who previously did not have Insider free shipping on your brand may gain it. In the event that happens, we notify your retailer 2 weeks ahead of the quarterly refresh.
Note that the order value is the sum of the order items, pre-discount, pre-commission, and pre-tax.
How do I know which Insider retailers are eligible for free shipping on my brand?
You can see if a customer is currently eligible for Insider free shipping on your brand by viewing their specific Customer information page (accessible from the Customers page). For orders that receive Insider free shipping on your brand, you’ll also see Insider free shipping on the specific order page.
You can also filter your customers by Insider free shipping status, and send targeted email campaigns to retailers who have Insider free shipping with your brand. To learn more about how to use the Insider filter, visit Recommended segments for email campaigns that convert
Why does Faire impose a minimum order to qualify for Insider free shipping?
Faire can require that retailers place an order of a minimum amount for that order to qualify for Insider free shipping. These minimum order amounts (which are determined by Faire) allow us to offer free shipping on a wider range of orders.
- For US retailers: Some orders won’t require a minimum spend, some may require a $300 USD minimum.

For Canadian retailers: All orders will require a minimum spend of either:
- $400 CAD
- $700 CAD
Note that these minimums are different from the order/reorder minimum you have set for your store—retailers will still need to hit your order/reorder minimum to order from you.
Are import duties covered for Insiders?
No. We temporarily covered import duties for US retailers using Insider free shipping on eligible orders placed through June 30, 2025. This was a limited-time benefit and is no longer available.
If your retailers place an order with Insider free shipping, as the importer, they are responsible for any import duties charged by US or Canadian customs for the shipment.
My retailers are asking about Insider. What can I share?

Do not commit or imply that a retailer will receive free shipping from your brand if they sign up. Eligibility for Insider free shipping is determined at the retailer level based on several factors outlined here, and it is not guaranteed for every brand–retailer relationship.
What you can safely share is that Insider can help retailers reduce shipping costs overall, which may allow them to allocate more of their budget toward purchasing inventory.
