A verified pricing badge appears on your Faire product listings when we've confirmed your listed price matches the price on your own website. It signals to retailers that your pricing is accurate and trustworthy.
What does a verified pricing badge mean?
We compare the price you list on Faire against the price on your publicly accessible website. When they match, your listing qualifies for a verified pricing badge. This tells retailers that the pricing they see on Faire reflects what your product actually sells for, so they can trust the margin math when deciding what to stock.
Why does a verified pricing badge matter?
Retailers use your pricing to estimate their margins before placing an order, so a listing with unverified or mismatched pricing can make your product appear to be a lower-margin opportunity than it actually is, even if the discrepancy wasn't intentional.
How do I qualify for a verified pricing badge?
If your Faire price is lower than the price on your own website, you may have updated pricing on your website without updating it on Faire. We'll detect the price listed on your website and notify you through a banner in your Faire portal or by email when a product qualifies for an update.
Here's how to review and apply a price update:
- Open the notification banner or email about your price updates.
- Select Review price updates.
- Compare the price we detected on your website with your current Faire price for each product.
- Select the products you want to update, then confirm the change to apply the new price.
What if I don't want to update a product's price?
You don't have to act on every price update we surface. If you intentionally list a lower MSRP on Faire than on your own website, for example, if you treat Faire as a discovery or overflow sales channel, you can leave that listing as is. Choosing not to update a product's price doesn't affect your ability to sell that product on Faire.
