How long does a catalog import take?
Imports from Shopify can take time, depending on the number of products you’re importing. If you don’t see your products appear on Faire shortly after importing try turning the Faire: Sell Wholesale sales channel off and back on to refresh the sync by following these steps:
- Go to the Integrations tab, and select Shopify.
- Choose the Products tab and select the product(s).
- Locate the Publishing card and choose Manage.
- Deselect the checkbox next to Faire: Sell Wholesale to turn the sales channel off, save at the top of the screen, and select it again to turn it back on.
- Select Done to save the update.
How do I exclude a product from my catalog import?
To prevent a product from importing on Faire:
- Go to the Integrations tab, and select Shopify.
- Choose the Products tab within your Shopify sales channel.
- Select the product(s) you want to exclude.
- Locate the Publishing card and choose Manage.
- Deselect the checkbox next to Faire: Sell Wholesale to turn the sales channel off.
- Select Done to save the update.
Products with the sales channel turned off won’t be imported to Faire.
Why can’t I turn on the Faire: Sell Wholesale sales channel?
If you are unable to turn on the Faire: Sell Wholesale sales channel, it is likely because the product is missing details required to import it to Faire. Add the missing product info in Shopify and then you can turn the sales channel back on to import the product.
Do product updates I make on Shopify sync to Faire automatically?
No, changes you make in Shopify do not automatically sync to Faire. If you update product details in Shopify (such as pricing, descriptions, images, SKUs etc) those changes will not be reflected on Faire. You’ll need to manually update your product information directly in your Faire account.
You can make updates to your products on Faire using the bulk editor or by editing products individually in your Products tab.
What happens to my import if I delete a product?
When a product is deleted on Faire, the Faire:Sell Wholesale sales channel is automatically turned off for that product in Shopify, and won’t be imported to Faire again. The product will not be re-imported from Shopify unless you enable the Faire:Sell Wholesale sales channel for that product. Deleting and re-importing your product will reset all sales data, so be sure to do this only if you aren’t able to update the product manually.
How do I delete a product I imported by mistake?
If you imported a product from Shopify to Faire that you didn’t mean to import you can delete the individual product or use the Bulk editor to remove the products from your Faire catalog. For more information visit How to edit products in bulk
