Can I sync my product content from Shopify?

Product content sync automatically keeps your product details on Faire up-to-date with your Shopify catalog.

What details will sync when product content sync is enabled?

When product content sync is enabled, the following details will stay in sync with the latest updates from Shopify for all products linked between Shopify and Faire:

  • Product name
  • Product descriptions
  • Product images
  • SKU
  • GTIN
  • Tariff Code
  • Weight and weight units
  • Made in Country

Enabling product content sync will update the product details listed above on all linked products. These details will become locked on Faire and no edits will be possible on Faire unless the product content sync setting is disabled in Shopify. This is to ensure consistency between Shopify and Faire, with Shopify acting as your source-of-truth.

How do I enable or disable product content syncing?

To enable or disable product content syncing:

  1. Go to the Integrations tab, and select Shopify.
  2. Select Faire: Sell wholesale from your Sales channels.
  3. Choose the Preferences tab.
  4. Scroll to Product Content Sync to Turn on or Turn off.

Select Save to make the updates.

Please note that turning on product content sync will update existing products on Faire to match linked products on Shopify. If you have made changes to product titles, descriptions or images on Faire, those changes will be overwritten to match the product they are linked to on Shopify and this cannot be undone.
