Why am I getting an error when using Ship with Faire?

In this guide

When you use Ship with Faire, we check the package details you provide and product information, to generate the shipping label for your order.

An error will surface if the carrier's requirements aren’t met. Please see below for a list of common errors.

Your package exceeds the carriers package size or weight limit

Each carrier has maximum package dimensions and weights. Please keep this in mind when selecting your package size for your orders.

  • FedEx packages cannot exceed 150 lbs. Learn more.
  • UPS packages cannot exceed 150 lbs. Learn more.
  • DHL packages cannot exceed 70 kg/154 lbs, or the following maximum dimensions 120 x 80 x 80 cm (L x W x H). Learn more.

Your product is missing required information

All products in the order must have the following:

  • Product weight listed
    • Item weight: If you sell items individually, you should add the item weight, but if you add the item weight and sell by the case, we will multiply the item weight by the number of items in your case
    • Package weight: If you sell items in a case or heavily packaged, enter the total package weight. This weight will not be multiplied by the number of items in your case
  • Tariff code listed in the HS6 format (1234.56)
  • Made in country selected in the dropdown menu

You can review this on the Products tab in your portal. After confirming that these are accurate, refresh your browser and attempt to fulfill the order again. If you’re still having trouble printing a label, please see below for some additional common errors.

Your order was heavier than expected

Your product weights may be listed incorrectly. If the total weight of your package is more than the sum of the individual product weights, this can lead to inaccurate shipping costs. You can review the weights of your products on your Products tab to check for accuracy.

Weight measurement guidelines:

  • Faire uses pounds and ounces as units of measure. If your product weighs a fraction of a pound, you must convert it to ounces.
    • Ex: on the product page, if your product weighs 1.5 lbs, when you fulfill the order you will be asked to add 1 lb 8 oz.

Your order includes more than 15 packages

At this time, you cannot add more than 15 packages per shipment. If you require more than 15 packages, we recommend splitting the order.

Your package dimensions exceed the maximum length of 274 cm

The dimensions of your package exceed the maximum dimensions for UPS. Please split this into multiple packages or try another carrier.

Your package weight must be greater than 0

The weight entered on your package details must be greater than 0. Please enter the weight of all items in the order, plus packaging to proceed.

Your package weight is less than the expected shipping weight

The total weight of your package is lower than the total individual weight of all items in the order. Product weights can be entered per item or per package. If you sell in a case but enter a per item weight, we will multiply the weight by the number of items in the case. Check the weights of the individual products for accuracy, and update weights accordingly.

Your package can’t contain more than 123 items

When shipping with FedEx, a single package cannot have more than 123 items included. To proceed, please split the order.

Your package can’t contain more than 100 items

When shipping with UPS, a single package cannot have more than 100 items included. To proceed, please split the order.

Please check that your phone number is valid

The phone number entered is invalid. Please review this in the step 2 Ship from address section on the order fulfillment page and try again.

Please check that both sender and recipient addresses are valid

There may be an error in your Ship from address or the retailer address. Please check your Ship from address in step 2 on the order fulfillment page to ensure it is accurate. After confirming this, please review the retailer’s address as well to check for errors. Once you’ve confirmed both addresses are correct, please refresh the page and try to fulfill the order again.

Please check that the recipient street line is valid

The retailer’s street address may be entered in an incorrect format. Please review the street address by selecting Edit order in the top right of the order fulfillment page, and then selecting the Ship to section to view how the address was entered. If the street address is in the wrong field, this may be causing the error. If you continue to see the error after troubleshooting, please let us know and we'll connect you with a support specialist to help.

Please check that the recipient postal code is valid

The retailer’s postal code may have an error in it. Sometimes this can be a typo, or there is a space where there shouldn’t be. Please correct the error and try to fulfill the order again.

Carrier is not available to ship to post office (PO) boxes

The retailer’s address contains a post office (PO) box, but the carrier is unable to ship to this type of address. Please contact the retailer to provide a different address, or select a different carrier.

Carrier isn’t available for this address

If you see this error, it means that the carrier is unable to service the retailer’s address. This can happen if the retailer is located in a rural area, or an area that the carrier is unable to service. Please

use another carrier or use Ship on your own.
