Completing my onboarding form

In this guide

This article covers a few specific how-tos and tips for completing onboarding for your first Faire shop. If you are adding a new brand to your existing account, visit Can I use one login to access multiple brand accounts?

Create your account

  • Add a valid login email, password, and phone number.
  • If you have an existing retailer account, you’ll need to use a different email to create a brand account.
  • The email you choose will be used to access your account, not for communication (except if you lose your password).
  • You must also agree to our Terms of Service.
  • European brands (excluding the UK) can select their preferred language for their catalog and brand details (product name, description, etc.).

Add your business details

  • General information about your brand, such as your contact info and social media.
  • Brand, product, and shipping location details.
  • Your wholesale business details, including product offering and retail stores carrying your products.
  • Provide your lead time and order minimums. To learn more, visit Edit lead times & order minimums.

Set up your shop page

Upload shop images

  • A feature image showcases your brand in the marketplace and in marketing emails, follow our Feature image guidelines.
  • A profile image represents you or your brand—this will be used as your image when messaging with retailers, as well as on your shop page. Ideal size: 1080 x 1080 pixels.
  • A cover image appears on your shop page, follow our cover image guidelines.

Introduce yourself

  • Share your brand story to add a personal touch to your shop, follow our brand story guidelines

Add your brand values

  • Provide your brand values to share with the Faire community.

Provide information about your company's location

  • Include your headquarters to let retailers know where your company is based. This can assist buyers in identifying and supporting local or regional brands. It should denote the location of your brand's headquarters or primary business operations.
  • Share where your products are made. This helps retailers make informed decisions based on origin preferences, such as sourcing locally or avoiding certain import duties if ordering from a brand that is shipped from another country.
  • If you manufacture products in more than one country across your product catalogue, you should defer to the country where the majority of your products are developed as your made-in country, and specify any differing made-in information on a product level.

Add your catalog

To get started, select Add your product catalog in the Shop Assistant toolbar. It’s important to submit your entire catalog because you will be featured in our New Arrivals category for your first two weeks - more products added means more visibility to potential customers.

You have three options to add your catalog:

  1. Onboard with Shopify
  2. Add products manually
  3. Get Faire to help by uploading a spreadsheet or export. If you use Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, Prestashop, or Wix, a direct .CSV download is the best way to share your catalog. Make sure to include all columns including images.

If you have a wholesale website, feel free to create an admin account for us, and in your special instructions share the login credentials.

Please note, as part of your brand agreement with us, you agree to keep your pricing consistent across all of your wholesale channels.

Verifying your account

The verification process starts after you submit your store for review. Please note, you will not be able to make any changes to your catalog during this stage.

Your account will typically be reviewed within 2-3 business days.

We may contact you to request additional details about your brand to complete the verification of your account. We will notify you via email and a notification in your Faire portal that we require additional information. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Business license
  • Sales and Use Tax License
  • Website domain receipt or proof of ownership
  • Personal identity document

If you are not the business owner, you may need to obtain proof of identity and business ownership from the brand owner or provide us with a representation or distributor agreement.

We’ll review your shop before it goes live and email you again when it’s activated.

Once your shop is active, you can edit your shop details, add more products, and invite retailers to shop directly on Faire.
