How do I cancel an order?
To cancel an order:
- Go to your Orders tab.
- Locate and select the order you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel.
- Choose the cancellation that best fits your situation.
- Leave a brief note explaining the cancellation (minimum 30 characters). This will help us manage the retailer’s expectations.
- To add the items back to your Faire inventory, ensure the Restock all items in this order to inventory box is checked.
- Select Cancel order to finalize your cancellation.
Once the order is canceled, both you and the retailer will receive an automated confirmation email.
Can a retailer cancel an order?
Retailers can cancel an order within the first 24 hours of placing it. If it’s been longer than 24 hours, or you've already entered an expected ship date, they will need to request a cancellation from you.
You will receive an email notifying you of their request and can accept or deny it on the Order Fulfillment page.
If you don’t take action on a cancellation request, it will be automatically declined after 2 days.
Why was my order canceled?
Faire may cancel an order automatically if it’s been more than 30 days since the order changed in status. For more information, please see What’s the status of my order?
If you’re unsure why an order was canceled, please check your email for a notification from Faire with the reason. If you’re still unable to find the cancellation reason, please let us now and we’ll connect you with a support specialist to help.
Can I undo a cancellation?
Cancellations are permanent, and can’t be reversed by our team. Before canceling any order, we recommend trying these troubleshooting steps:
- Message the retailer for more information.
- If some items are available, but others aren’t, please see What do I do if I can’t ship an item?
