If the items are set as Out of stock your retailer will be notified via email.
- If you entered a restock date: Your retailer can choose to either wait for the remaining items to ship or cancel the unavailable items. If the retailer accepts the restock date, a backorder for the unavailable items will be sent to you to fulfill on the restock date. You will receive an email notification if the retailer decides to cancel the items and they will not be charged for the unavailable items.
- If you mark the item out of stock and unpublish the item: Your retailer will receive an email that the items marked as unavailable are discontinued and will not be fulfilled. The retailer will not be charged for the unavailable items.
Why did I get an order that contained an item that I marked as out of stock?
If an item that was marked out of stock reaches the restock date, the item is automatically published and is available for purchase.
We recommend proactively unpublishing your items that are out of stock to prevent this issue from occurring. For more information about how to unpublish products, visit How do I add or edit products?
