When you refer a new retailer to Faire and they place their first order through any of your Faire Direct tools, they will be eligible for a referral offer, including a discount and one year of free shipping on your brand. These incentives are funded by Faire to encourage retailers to try your brand.
The referral offer varies based on where your brand is located. The offer will only apply on the retailer’s first order with you and will be capped at the maximum offer value listed. The chart below outlines the offer amount for each location:

The offer will be converted to an approximate amount in the retailer's local currency. Retailers will automatically see the available referral offer applied to their cart before checkout. Does the Faire Direct referral offer expire?
Yes, the Faire Direct referral offer does expire. The discount and one year of free shipping expire 7 days after a retailer’s sign-up date if an order is not placed with your brand.
Retailers are welcome to place a scheduled order if they don’t need inventory now but still want to take advantage of the offer in their first 7 days.
How will free shipping be covered for the retailer?
When a retailer places their first order on Faire through any of your Faire Direct tools, we will provide free shipping for 1 year with your brand. The shipping cost is fully funded by Faire.
If you use Ship on your Own to fulfill the order, you will still be reimbursed for the cost of shipping up to an approved amount, and this will not be passed on to the retailer.
If you use Ship with Faire to fulfill the order, Faire will cover the cost of shipping directly.
How does Faire Direct work if my customer is already using Faire?
If your customer is already on Faire and uses your link to order from you, they will not receive the referral offer. However, they will still gain access to all of the benefits of Faire, including 60-day payment terms for eligible retailers, free returns on first orders, and easy online ordering with your brand.
How can I check when a Faire Direct referral offer is set to expire?
Once a retailer you’ve invited signs up using your Faire Direct link, you can check when their referral offer is set to expire by visiting the Customers tab of your brand portal, adding a column for Referral offer expiration.
Can I extend the Faire Direct referral offer if it expires?
You have the option to extend a retailer’s expired offer by three days within your Customers tab in the Faire portal. You can do this once per retailer.
Once you’ve extended the referral offer, the retailer will receive an email notifying them that they have 3 additional days to spend it. You can also let your retailer know personally through the Messages tab.
To re-engage retailers who haven’t yet placed their first order and claimed their referral offer, you can create a segment in your Customers tab by filtering for Faire Direct referral offer, and Eligible to claim. For more details on how to do this, see Understanding my customers page.
