How do I link my products with WooCommerce?
If you are an existing brand on Faire, you’ll need to link your products to ensure proper syncing between WooCommerce and Faire. If you’re new to Faire, and haven’t uploaded products yet, you can skip this step.
- Product linking allows you to match existing Faire products to WooCommerce products without having to import them again.
- It allows order, inventory, and product syncing to happen on a scheduled basis.
- For product linking to work, all products in Faire and WooCommerce must have a unique SKU associated with the product variants.
To link products:
- Go to the Plugins tab in your WooCommerce portal.
- Select the Settings link beneath the Faire for WooCommerce plugin.
- Go to the Link Faire products section.
- Select Link products to begin the linking process.
- After the sync, review the Last link details to see how many products were linked.
If you have all the same products and variations on Faire that you do in WooCommerce, and they have the same SKU on them, this will be the only step you need to take to link your products.
How do I link Faire products that don’t exist in WooCommerce?
If you have products listed on Faire that haven’t yet been created in WooCommerce, you can choose to automatically add them, or manually manage them if you have a large catalog. To manage this setting:

What happens if I have WooCommerce variations that don’t exist on Faire?
If a product in WooCommerce has variations that aren’t yet listed on Faire such as new sizes, or colors, those variations will be created on Faire during your next product sync after running product linking.
This applies to new variation values under an existing attribute (ex: adding size “L” to an existing “Size” attribute), not to entirely new product attributes.
Ex:
If your WooCommerce product includes sizes S, M, and L, but only S exists on Faire, then after linking and syncing, the M and L sizes will be added to the Faire product.
If you don’t want those variations on Faire, you can unpublish them from your Products tab on Faire after they sync.
What happens if I have variations on Faire products that do not exist on WooCommerce?
If your Faire product has additional variations that don’t exist in WooCommerce, those missing variations can be created in WooCommerce during the next product sync, after you’ve completed product linking.
This applies to variation values within an existing attribute, such as adding new sizes to an existing Size attribute.
Ex:
If your product on Faire is available in S, M, and L, but your WooCommerce version only includes S, then after linking and syncing, the M and L variations will be added to the WooCommerce product.
To prevent Faire variations from being added to WooCommerce:
- Go to the Plugins tab in WooCommerce.
- Select the Settings link under the Faire for WooCommerce plugin.
- Choose the Link Faire products tab.
- Uncheck the box for Create new variations from Faire.
- Select Save changes.
For large catalogs:
- Uncheck Yes, add product variations to WooCommerce.
-
Download your Faire product data as a CSV and import variations manually into WooCommerce.
What should I do if I have unmatched variations in both systems?
If you have product variations that exist on Faire but not in WooCommerce, and vice versa, you’ll need to manually add missing variations to link properly between platforms.
When you run product linking, the system will alert you if any variations are unmatched and need to be added manually.
To add the variation manually in WooCommerce:
- Go to the Products tab in your WooCommerce portal.
- Select the product that needs updating. If a manual link is required you’ll see a message indicating this.
- Under the product title, select Edit.
- Scroll to the Variations tab and choose Add manually.
- Enter the variation details and select Save changes.
To complete the linking process:
- Expand the newly made variation and enter the correct SKU to match the corresponding variation on Faire.
- Return to the Products page, and manually sync the product.
Once this sync is complete, missing variations from WooCommerce will be created on Faire. Any products that are deleted will be automatically un-synced and will need to be re-synced manually.

- Select the Settings link beneath the Faire for WooCommerce plugin.

Selecting the right sync mode helps you control how and when your product data is shared between platforms.
How do I avoid product duplication with my WooCommerce settings?
If a product exists on Faire before integrating with WooCommerce, importing it from WooCommerce may create a duplicate.
The product needs to be synced from WooCommerce to sync product and order information between the two platforms. To prevent duplicates, you can keep the newly imported product active and deactivate your existing Faire product to allow this integration to work seamlessly for you.
Deactivating or deleting products removes all the associated sell-through data and analytics for those products. We recommend checking that you are deleting the correct product from Faire, and not the newly created product.
