Yes, if you ship orders on your own, you can add fulfillment information to multiple orders at once by uploading a CSV file instead of entering tracking details one order at a time.
How do I add fulfillment information to orders in bulk?
See our video walkthrough here
- Go to your Orders page.
- Select the checkbox next to each unfulfilled* order you want to add fulfillment information to. To add shipping details to all unfulfilled orders, skip this step.
- Select Ship orders in the row above your orders list.
- In the pop-up, select Download orders CSV.
- Open the downloaded CSV and fill in the three required fields for each order:
- Carrier — the shipping carrier used for the order.
- Tracking number — the tracking number provided by the carrier.
- Cost — the shipping cost for that order.
- Save the file as a CSV.
- In the bulk ship orders pop-up on Faire, drag or upload your edited CSV in step 3, Upload new CSV file, then select Upload.
- A pop-up in the bottom right of your screen shows the progress of your upload. If there are any errors, they'll appear here.
*CSV will filter out ”New” orders and only include “Unfilfilled” orders. “New” orders must accepted before fulfilling them. To accept new orders in bulk, select orders and use the edit ship date button.
What do I do if there's an error in my bulk fulfillment upload?
If your CSV upload has errors, you can download a version of the file that shows exactly what needs to be fixed.
- When the upload pop-up in the bottom right of your screen shows an error, select Download errors.
- Open the downloaded CSV. Each error is listed in the error column next to the affected order.
- Correct the information for each flagged order and save the file as a CSV.
- Select Ship orders again and upload your corrected CSV.
- The pop-up in the bottom right of your screen will confirm a successful upload once the corrected file processes.
Which ship-from location is used when I add fulfillment information in bulk?
Orders uploaded through the bulk fulfillment CSV are shipped using your default shipping address. If you don't have a default shipping address set, we will use your earliest created shipping address.
Can I add multiple shipments to a single order using the bulk fulfillment CSV?
Yes. To add multiple shipments to one order, create an additional line in the CSV for each extra shipment tied to that order.
- In your downloaded orders CSV, add a new row for each additional shipment on the same order.
- Copy the order number, the new row so it matches the original line for that order.
- Enter the carrier, tracking number, and cost for each individual shipment. If you only have one total shipping cost for the order, add the full cost to the first shipment's row and enter $0 for the cost on each additional row.
