When inbound inventory arrives at the fulfillment center with missing or mismatched information, it will be flagged as a Unidentified Receiving Order (URO). ShipBob will pause processing for that inventory until the issue is resolved.
What causes a URO?
A URO is created when your shipment has:
- Barcode mismatches between what was expected and what arrived.
- Unit of Measure (UoM) mismatches between what was expected and what arrived.
- Unidentified SKUs that weren’t included in your original WRO.
- Extra units not listed on the original WRO.
ShipBob will place the inventory on hold and add photos or comments for reference in your ShipBob portal.
How can I view and understand my UROs?
- Sign into your ShipBob portal and go to the On-hold Receiving page.
- Review the list of open UROs and look for the comments and photos added by ShipBob. These will help you understand what caused the URO and how to resolve it.
How do I resolve barcode mismatches?
- Barcode mismatches must be resolved by having the correct barcode label applied to the product. Please contact fbfsupport@faire.com to request a quote.
How do I resolve unidentified SKUs?
- Create a new product listing to receive the inventory under. If this unidentified sku is something that you’re selling on Faire, please create the product listing in your Faire portal and allow 15 minutes for it to sync over to shipbob. If this sku is not something that you wish to sell on Faire, please create the new product in Shipbob.
- Create a new WRO in your portal that includes the new SKUs.
- Select Link WRO on the URO to connect the new WRO and begin resolution.
How do I resolve UROs caused by extra inventory?
- Create a new WRO that includes the extra product.
- Select Link WRO on the URO to begin the resolution process.
How long does it take for UROs to be resolved?
Once you create and link a WRO to the URO, ShipBob will process the inventory within the standard 3-business day window after it has been marked as arrived.
What else should I know about resolving UROs?
- If you want any URO’d inventory sent back to you, it must first be received at ShipBob. This may require creating new SKUs and WROs for damaged, unidentified, or incorrectly packaged products.
- If you prefer to have the URO’d inventory disposed of instead of received, contact fbfsupport@faire.com and we’ll pass that request along.
- Any UROs that remain unresolved for 30 days may be disposed of automatically.
- There is a fee for every day that a URO sits at the Hub.
