The “Economic Operators Registration and Identification” (EORI) number is a unique number used by businesses to identify themselves to customs authorities on customs declarations and other import documentation. Providing your EORI number prevents potential delays and storage fees if your order is unable to be processed by customs in a timely fashion.
If you are a retailer based in the UK or in the EU, you will need an EORI number for any order that you import from another trade-zone.
Is an EORI number required to check out on Faire?
If you are a UK or EU retailer, placing an order from another trade zone, an EORI number will be a requirement to check out as it will be a mandatory requirement for customs clearance.
