Automated emails are a simple and effective way to drive sales and strengthen your customer relationships by engaging your customers at the right time. With email automations, you can set up customizable messages that automatically send based on specific actions or milestones, such as welcoming a new retailer when they place their first order with you, celebrating milestones, or letting them know when an offer is about to expire.
From the Automations page (in the Marketing tab in your portal), you can easily set up, personalize, and monitor the performance of your automations. Once turned on, your automations will continue to engage retailers at the right moments, helping you build stronger relationships and grow sales with minimal effort.
What types of automations can I set up?
We offer several automations templates to help you stay connected with retailers, at every stage of your relationship with them. Each template is designed to engage retailers at key moments, strengthen relationships, and drive consistent sales.
Available automations include:
- New customer welcome: Welcome new customers who joined through your Faire Direct tools and make a strong first impression.
- Sign-up offer reminder: Encourage Faire Direct leads to use their sign-up offer before it expires.
- 60-day, 90-day, and 120-day reorder check in: Reconnect with customers who haven’t ordered in a specific timeframe to keep your brand top of mind.
- Bring customers back: Win back customers who haven’t ordered in a year by reminding them what’s new, or offering an incentive.
- Request reviews from first-time customers: Ask new customers for a review after their first order to build trust and social proof.
- Milestone appreciation: Celebrate customers who’ve placed their fifth order, or thank customers who’ve been reordering for a year for their continued partnership.
These automations are fully customizable, allowing you to tailor your message to best match your brand and goals.
How do I set up email automations?
To turn on and manage your automations, take the following steps in your portal:
- Navigate to the Automations section of the Marketing tab.
- To turn an automation on, select Set up and you’ll be taken to an editable template for that automation.
- Adjust the copy of the email and subject line to better suit your brand voice. Customizing the email can make it more compelling for retailers and therefore more likely to convert to a sale!
- Once your email is customized, click Save and turn on in the top right corner. If you want, you can Preview the email first.
- Your automation has now been turned on, and the emails will automatically send to retailers in the audience based on the specific trigger.
Once set up, your automations don’t require any additional action by you to keep them running, but we encourage you to periodically review your automated emails to make sure any promotions or language you have included are up to date.
How do I edit or turn off my automations?
To edit your existing automations, take the following steps in your portal:
- Navigate to the Automations section of the Marketing tab.
- Click into the automation that you’d like to edit, and select the Edit button in the top right corner of the email template. You can also Turn off the automation from here.
- Edit the contents of the email, and select Save changes.
How do I know how my Automations are performing?
In the Automations page in your brand portal, we provide you with a Performance Summary for the last 30 days (which includes information for all the automations you have set up). You can view the total number of emails delivered, your average click rate, and revenue generated from all of your active automations.
You can also view details about the performance of individual automations you have (or have previously had) set up, by clicking into the individual automation from the list.
What time are automated emails sent?
All automation emails are prepared at 8:30AM PST daily to be sent shortly after. At this time, you are unable to adjust this.
Will my automated emails be translated?
Automations will be sent to retailers in the language you write the email in. For example, if you write your automated email in French, it will be sent in French to all retailers in the automation list.
Can I exclude specific retailers from receiving automated emails?
You cannot exclude individual retailers from receiving a specific automated email. However, you are able to unsubscribe an individual retailer from receiving all of your marketing emails through Faire. You can do this in the Customers tab by clicking into a customer, and selecting Unsubscribe next to their name in the top right. Please note that this will stop the retailer from receiving all campaigns sent from you through Faire, including automated emails.
