Do I need to update to the latest version of Shopify?

Yes, if you’re seeing a banner in your Shopify integration app that states Update to the latest version to publish on Faire, you’ll need to update to the latest version by choosing Update now. We’ve upgraded our Shopify integration from the existing version to add functionality to how you sync data between Shopify and Faire. This update allows Faire to be listed as an official sales channel in the Shopify App Store. Your current Shopify preferences and product links will transfer automatically with the update.

How do I install the new Shopify sales channel app?

To install the new Faire: Sell Wholesale app and upgrade your integration, follow these steps:

We will automatically import any products with the Faire sales channel turned on.

1. Go to the Integrations tab, and select Shopify
2. Select Faire: Sell Wholesale sales channel on Shopify and select Update Now
3. Accept the updated permissions for the wholesale app and select continue
4. You’ll have two options:
   1. If you would like to import all products:
      1. No additional action is necessary, and we will automatically import any products with the Faire sales channel turned on
   2. If you have products that you do not want imported to Faire:
      1. Choose Do not import on the products table.
5. Select Import and continue.
6. Within the Set up your Faire sales channel page, you’ll make selections for the following options:
   1. How should we import your products to Faire?
      1. You can choose Import products to Faire as published to immediately make products available
      2. You can choose Import products to Faire as draft to allow you to review and add more product details before your products are available
7. Select import and continue.

Once completed, you’ll see a banner at the top of your sales channel letting you know the update was successful.

Your new Faire: Sell Wholesale app will now live in your Shopify portal. We recommend pinning the app by dragging the app to the preferred position in the sidebar after opening it.
