What is considered a damaged item in my customer service metrics?

In this guide

Damaged items are orders that include 1+ items reported as damaged by the retailer.

How are damaged items metrics calculated?

The damaged items value you see on your Customer Service page shows the percentage of your orders that had items reported as damaged. Orders with reported damaged items that are successfully disputed are excluded from this metric percentage.

To view your Damaged items metrics, visit How do I view my shop’s performance analytics?

How can I avoid damaged items?

For suggestions on how to avoid damaged items, visit How do I prevent items from being reported damaged?

What do I do if there is an inaccurate order counted in my damaged items metrics?

If you find that an order report is inaccurate, or needs to be adjusted we recommend submitting a dispute in your account. For steps on the actions you can take, visit How do I dispute missing or damaged items?
