Do you know them? The nut that isn't? Tigernuts (Spanish chufas) or tiger nuts come from Africa, and we also get our tiger nuts from there. They come from Niger to Spain and are further processed there until they finally end up with us in Wiesmoor. It has been used as a remedy in Africa for years and has even been discovered in Egyptian tombs. What is special about the tighnut? When we first heard about it and tried it, we thought of a nut. Like their name, their taste is reminiscent of nuts/almonds. BUT! The earth nut is NOT a nut! It is NUT-FREE and GLUTEN FREE!
