Inside Greeting: I just wanted to say, Hello. Magazine artist Will Rannells transforms a noble hound into a salty man of the sea in this versatile card, perfect for a friend. This old sea dog first appeared on the September 3, 1925, cover of Life magazine, and it continues to delight our canine-loving customers today! Will Rannells (1892-1982) made an impact in the art realm as both an illustrator and an educator - he was Professor of Commercial Art at Ohio State University for 35 years! Rannells originally created art of beautiful girls but transitioned to illustrating dogs, a decision that led to much commercial success. His talent caught the attention of publications like Judge, Life, and McCalls, where his delightful dog portraits adorned their covers for years! This product was custom-designed and created at our location in Seattle.

They are still here and so am I! Years after finding this brand in Atlanta during a summer show, it is a true pleasure to find them here. I love both the quality & the humor of the products. I grew up with Golden Books. Seeing these cards, oh my! And, I still have some of mine at 73 yrs "young"! This one reminded me of winning a teacher/student hula hoop contest before full audience in the gym. I won against a little teen cheerleader ... and made the front page of the local paper!
