Newton (1884–1964) was a prolific American author and illustrator known for her charming illustrations of animals, especially kittens and puppies. After completing art school in Philadelphia, she worked producing greeting cards and advertisements for notable brands like the Ivory Soap Company. Throughout her career, she worked on beloved titles such as Peter Rabbit (1947), and also found success in toy design, showing versatility and creativity across various mediums!
