Een zus houdt van augurken, de andere zus houdt van cocktails. Zoals zussen vaak doen, besloten we onze liefdes te combineren en heerlijk bedwelmende augurken te creëren. In het begin werkten we tijdens vakanties en vrije tijd samen om grote partijen augurken met alcohol te produceren. Jarenlang gaven we ze als cadeaus aan familie, vrienden en collega's en hun reactie was: "Dit is een geweldige augurk! Wat zit er in deze augurk?" En zo begon de creatie van What the Pickles. Omdat we onze liefde voor uniek gekruide augurken wilden delen, besloten we in 2021 een bedrijf te starten met ambachtelijke augurken in kleine oplages. Onze eerste lijn augurken werd gelanceerd in 2022, met gin-, whisky-, rum- en biersmaken. Het leven wierp ons allebei een paar curveballs toe en 1 jaar na onze lancering verhuisden we ons bedrijf naar de regio New England. Tijdens onze verhuizing hadden we de tijd om onze producten te verbeteren en zelfs een paar nieuwe toe te voegen.
