We offer returns on the first order you place with each brand, so you can feel confident buying from new brands on Faire. Any additional orders you place with that specific brand won’t be eligible for returns, even when purchasing products you haven’t ordered before.
The return process is done through Faire, rather than by the individual brands. This means brands will keep their payouts for returns processed through Faire. For more information on how Faire handles the returned merchandise see below.
Please note that not all items are returnable—you can read more about this in the article Why can't I return my items?
How do I create a return?
To submit a return, go to your Orders page and select the Return button on the order you’d like to return items for. You can read more details in our article How do I submit a return?
Once you submit your return, we’ll provide you with a prepaid shipping label. We'll email you the label, but you can also find and print it from the returned orders section of your Faire account by locating the order and selecting View returns.
The process for returns may differ based on your location. If applicable, we'll provide details on your local return process in your portal when you create your return.
How am I refunded for returns?
When you create a return, we will either remove the returned items from your invoice total, or refund the cost of the returned items, depending on your invoice payment option. The original cost of shipping for the order will still apply, and is non-refundable. We will cover the cost of shipping to return the items to our warehouse.
- If you paid your invoice using payment on shipment, or your invoice was paid before the return: The cost of the items returned will be refunded to your default payment method once the return is scanned into transit by the carrier. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to show up on your payment method.
- If you used net 60 payment terms, or your invoice payment has not been made: The returned items will be removed from your invoice total, reducing your outstanding balance by the cost of the returned items.
- If discounts were applied to your order: Your invoice will be adjusted for the discounted amount that was billed for the returned items.
- If your invoice was paid with a combination of Faire credit and a payment card: Faire credit will be returned first, followed by any remaining balance being refunded to your payment card.
- If Faire Direct credit was used: Faire Direct credit is non-refundable and will not be restored when an order is returned.
- If duties or import taxes were paid: These charges are non-refundable, even if the items are returned
When will I be refunded?
Once your return is scanned by the carrier, the system automatically changes the corresponding return status and initiates your refund. You can find details about the refund date and amount in your original order invoice.
It is important to only use the labels created by the system as your returns are directly linked to each label tracking number. You will have issues receiving the refund if you return your products using a different label.
If you have more than one Faire return, please be sure to package each return separately using the correct label. Combining Faire returns will result in issues with your refund.
Can I undo/edit my return?
No, you aren’t able to undo or edit a return request from your portal once submitted. If you’d like to cancel or edit a return request and submit again, please contact support and we’ll be happy to assist you with this.
Once cancelled, you should be able to create a new return request directly from your "Orders & reviews" menu.
Can I exchange items purchased from brands on Faire?
