The crispy, fan-shaped Ferratelle are perfect to munch on during a break, but especially excellent to fill with a jam. In the local Abruzzo dialect they are also known like “Lids” because as the name suggests it is it is possible to superimpose them (after having stuffed them) one on the other, with the second acting as a lid. Used as a waffle, it can be enjoyed for accompany ice cream or yogurt.
