Yes, we currently offer free integrations with Shopify, Square, Clover and Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series) Point of Sale Systems (POS). Connecting your account will allow you to automatically add products you purchase on Faire and their corresponding details into your POS system.

How do I set up the POS integration?
- Select POS integration in your account dropdown menu.
- Select Connect your POS.

Choose from the available POS systems and follow the prompts to configure your settings:

Square
- You’ll be prompted to login to your POS account and then you’ll be redirected to Faire, completing the integration.

Clover
- You’ll be prompted to login to your POS account and then you’ll be redirected to Faire, completing the integration.
- Clover integration is only available to retailers in North America.

Shopify
- You’ll be prompted to download the Faire: Buy Wholesale app in the Shopify app store. Once you download the app in Shopify, select Sign in to go back to Faire. Follow the prompts to complete the integration.
- Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series)
- You’ll be prompted to login to your Lightspeed account to approve installation and then you’ll be redirected to Faire, completing the integration.

Square
If you have a large number of existing products in your POS, it may take a few minutes for the integration to load on Faire.
How do I manage my POS sync?
Once you’ve connected your POS account:
- Go to your POS Integration in your account dropdown menu.
- Select Manage on an order, or visit the Unlinked tab to view products that have not yet been synced to your POS system.
Products will only sync with your POS once you select to link to an existing product in your POS or create a new one. You can manually select this on each item, or pre-set this for all products in your Settings.
Can I connect multiple POS systems to one Faire account?
No, you can only sync one POS system to your Faire account at a time. If you use multiple POS systems such as Shopify and Square, it is not possible to link both on a single Faire account.
If you need to switch your connected POS system, you can disconnect the current one and connect a different system through your POS settings.
Can I connect the same POS to multiple Faire accounts?
Yes, if you have more than one Faire account, you can connect the same POS store to each of them.
Ex: if you operate two Faire accounts and want to sync your Shopify store to both of them, you can do so.
To connect your POS store to multiple Faire accounts, you will need to log into each Faire account separately and complete the POS integration set up process for each one.
How do I disconnect my POS
You are able to discconnect your POS directly from your portal. To do this please follow the instructions below:
- Click the person icon (drop down menu) in the top right hand corner of your account
- Select your ‘Name of Integration’ POS/Integration
- Select ‘Settings’ from the menu on the left hand side
- Select ‘Account’ on the right hand side
- You should then see a ‘Disconnect’ button next to your linked POS integration
- Click disconnect
- Click confirm
- Your POS integration should then be disconnected from your Faire account
For Lightspeed Retail POS (X-Series), after disconnecting in Faire, delete the Faire app in Lightspeed to fully disconnect.
If you would like to link a new POS system, you can refresh the page and choose a different POS system to connect with, and follow the steps within your portal.
What settings can I configure in the integration?
There are several settings you can configure to tailor your Shopify, Square, Clover or Lightspeed integration to best suit your needs. We highly recommend reviewing these settings, since they impact how and when products will be synced between Faire and your POS system. Settings you can configure include:
- Product creation: Whether you want the integration to automatically add new products you order on Faire to your POS system, or if you want to review and edit product details first.
- Multi-variant product configuration: Whether you want to group products with multiple variants under one listing, or to split variants into separate listings.

Inventory count updates: For Shopify, Square and Clover integrations, you can control whether you want the integration to automatically add inventory ordered on Faire to inventory counts in our POS when orders are delivered, or if you want to update inventory counts separately.
- Note: Automated inventory counts will only happen when linked products are delivered, and will not trigger for either unlinked products, or products that have been delivered prior to them being linked.
- Product status (Shopify only): Whether you want products created by the integration to default to Active or Draft status in Shopify.
- Multi-location syncing: We support syncing of product information across multiple locations for our Shopify and Square integrations, however automatic inventory count updates are only supported for a single, selected location.

How do I sync and manage products?
Once you have the integration set up, you can start syncing and managing products you’ve ordered on Faire.
- Adding products: You can add products you’ve ordered on Faire to your POS system using the bulk editor, which is accessible by selecting Manage on an order, or visiting the Unlinked tab. Once you select products and choose Add to POS, these products will be created as new entries in your POS system, and product details will be synced moving forward. See below for details on which fields will be synced.
- Linking to existing products in your POS: If products you’ve ordered on Faire already have existing entries in your POS system, you can link them to the existing entry by selecting the Link to existing button in the bulk editor. When linking products to existing ones in your POS system, product details from your POS will override product information on Faire. Once the products are linked, product details will stay synced moving forward.
- Editing products: You can edit unlinked products prior to adding them to your POS by using the bulk editor. Once products are linked, you can edit details in your POS system. Edits made for linked products will be synced and reflected in Faire as well.
- Archiving products: You can archive any products you’ve ordered on Faire but do not want linked to your POS system. This will only archive the products on Faire, but will not impact any corresponding products in your POS that the archived products may have previously been linked to.
- Unlinking products: You can unlink any products you no longer want synced between Faire and your POS system. This is accessible by clicking Manage on an order, or visiting the Linked tab.
The items that are synced will sync to your POS library at the time of purchase, and the inventory count will sync at the time of delivery. Please note that our integration refreshes every 30 minutes.
What product information is synced?
The following product information is synced from Faire to your POS integration via our Shopify, Square, and Clover integrations.

At this time, we do not require brands to provide UPC or barcodes for items, but we do require individual SKU's for each listing. If you do require these for your products, you're more than welcome to utilize our messaging feature, Faire Messenger, to inquire if brands have this information available to provide you with directly.
How do I navigate the integration dashboard?
Visit your integration at POS Integration or select the Shopify, Square, Clover or Lightspeed integration link in your account dropdown menu. Within the integration, you can navigate to the following pages:
- Home: Contains a list of orders you’ve placed on Faire. You can add, link, and edit products from these orders by clicking the Manage button.
- Unlinked: Includes all products you’ve ordered on Faire that currently aren’t synced with your POS system. You can bulk edit and add products to your POS system on this page.
- Archived: Includes any products you’ve archived via the integration.
- Settings: Contains all settings for the integration that you can configure.
Can I use an API key to connect Faire to my own system?
No, Faire doesn’t offer API access tokens or API keys for retailers. All retailer integrations must be done through the available Shopify, Square, Clover, or Lightspeed connections. At this time, it’s not possible to build a custom integration or connect directly to Faire using an API.
