The Faire ↔ ShipBob integration allows your products, inventory, and orders to sync automatically between the two platforms once you go live. This ensures accurate inventory levels, streamlined fulfillment, and automatic tracking updates.
Below is an overview of how each part of the integration works and what to expect.
What syncs between Faire and ShipBob?
Product sync
Once product sync is enabled:
- All products in Faire (including drafts) are automatically created in ShipBob. The product name, selling method, and fulfillment barcode will sync over. International details like made in country, tariff code and value will also sync over. Please note that customs descriptions will not sync over and will need to be filled out in Shipbob.
- Any new products added to Faire will appear in ShipBob within 15 minutes. Do not edit these details in ShipBob, as they will be overwritten with the information syncing from Faire.
- The selling method syncs over and appears in the front of the product name, whereas the SKU syncs over and appears at the end of the product name.
- Example: Format is [Selling method | Product name | SKU]
- Case of 6 | Pink brush | pb123
- Example: Format is [Selling method | Product name | SKU]
- If testers are enabled in Faire, a tester product listing will be automatically created in ShipBob. However, you must manually add the barcode information to the barcode field for the tester item.
- Faire uses a product option token to match products between Faire and ShipBob. This token appears in the SKU field in the ShipBob dashboard.
Important:
- Products created directly in ShipBob will not sync back to Faire.
- Do not edit the SKU field in the ShipBob dashboard. Changing the SKU can break the integration between Faire and ShipBob.
- The fulfillment barcode field must be filled in before a product syncs to Shipbob. If it is not filled in the product will not sync. For more details, please see How to set up barcodes for Fulfilled by Faire.
Inventory sync
Inventory sync is enabled when you go live.
- ShipBob inventory levels sync to Faire every 30 minutes.
- When inventory is received in ShipBob, on-hand quantities update in Faire.
- As orders are placed on Faire, inventory is automatically reduced.
If you sell products by the case:
- ShipBob tracks inventory at the case (pickable unit) level.
- Inventory will be converted and displayed as individual units on Faire.
Order sync
Order sync is also enabled when you go live.
- Orders must be accepted in Faire before they sync to ShipBob.
- Accepted orders are sent to ShipBob 2 business days before the expected ship date and begin fulfillment.
- If an order is ingested after 2:00 PM ET, the fulfillment will start the following day
- Once an order is sent to ShipBob, it is no longer editable in Faire.
- Tracking information automatically syncs back to Faire once the order ships, and the order status in Faire updates to fulfilled.
- FbF shipments automatically advance to shipped after 48 hours if tracking has not yet synced. This helps account for cases where ShipBob provides tracking for a carrier not currently supported.

Important:
If items are marked unavailable and removed from an order after the order has already synced to ShipBob, those changes will not automatically update. In this case, the items must be removed directly in ShipBob.
How does my Shipbob integration react with other integrations?
If you have other integrations connected to Faire, review them carefully before going live.
For example:
- Inventory Syncs should be turned off, as it can overwrite the Faire ↔ ShipBob inventory sync and cause discrepancies.
If you are adding any integrations directly to Shipbob, please notify us via fbfsupport@faire.com so that we can work with Shipbob to ensure that they are setup correctly.
