The buyback program allows you, as a brand, to repurchase the inventory that retailers return on Faire at a 30% discount from the original wholesale price. This program is an alternative to allowing Faire to manage your returns for you. For more on how Faire manages returns, visit: How does Faire handle returns?
Please note, this program is currently in beta testing with a limited number of US and Canadian based brands.
Program enrollment
The buyback program is accessible in your portal. To enroll in the buyback program, please follow the steps listed below:
- Go to Shop settings
- Under the Return Settings section select how you would like to handle your returns. The default option lets Faire handle the returns.
- To enroll in the buyback program, select Learn More. A new window will open where you can find more about the buyback program. Select Get Started to complete enrollment.
- Once enrolled, you can review your returns on the Returns page under Orders on the left side of your portal.
How does payment work?
If a retailer initiates a return, the repurchase price will be automatically deducted from your bank account on file upon delivery. Faire will cover the return shipping costs.
Can I choose which returns or products I repurchase?
No, at this time, if you choose to enroll in the buyback program, you’ll be required to repurchase all returned products.
What if items are damaged or missing in my return?
Upon delivery if items are missing or damaged, you can report this in your Returns tab by selecting Report an Issue. Follow the steps to report the issue and we’ll send a refund to your bank account on file.
Canceling program enrollment
You can cancel your participation in the buyback program at any time. To cancel, go to Shop settings and select Let Faire take my returns in the Return Settings section.
Please note, returns that were initiated before you cancel will still be shipped to you and included in the program. As a result you may receive and be charged for buyback shipments after you've cancelled.
