Mary Lambert glass votive altar candle from Flaming Idols. Mary first came to fame for writing and singing the chorus of the hit pro-gay marriage anthem Same Love (and being the only actually gay person on the track). Since then she’s made a career for herself — including performing at the Grammys and publishing a book of poetry – writing and singing about being a fat, queer, bipolar rape and abuse survivor. She describes her shows as "safe spaces where crying is acceptable and even encouraged." Beautiful, and dare we say it? Candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hours. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base. Each votive is affixed with an opaque sticker with an image of a person and on the opposite side, a translucent sticker with biographical information about the person. Stickers are water-resistant.
