The shoulder pads are wonderfully suited to distribute the weight more evenly across the shoulders and thus increase comfort for the wearer. They are simply attached to the shoulder straps with Velcro. You can also repurpose the shoulder pads to, for example, cushion buckles that press into the hip belts of carriers (manufacturer-independent). Note when used with the WrapMySol: The shoulder pads can only be used if the shoulder straps are not fanned out.
