Format: Giclée print, Limited Edition (1/850) on 310gms thick, 100% cotton rag. Hand-numbered and hand-embossed. Size (cm): Image: 28 x 21; paper: 39.5 x 30.5 Linocut 1930. Original size: 23.5 x 19.3 cm. Horse racing was one of Andrews’ favourite themes. But here we have the spectators, their eyes peeled and cuboid hands clenched in excitement. A reviewer seeing this print when first exhibited remarked: …’this artist undoubtedly has got the atmosphere of a wet race meeting’. (F. H.
