Saint Demetrios Christian Icon Arched Engraved Silver Natural Wood C Series comes in 4 sizes: 3 with beveled arch and 1 (smallest) with smooth arch Arched top design with embedded gold & silver frame around the icon Powerful pieces for your home, family, or friends as gifts Artistically outstanding, all sizes can be wall mounted or standing. Adhering to traditional byzantine iconography. Hand-made silk screen on wooden base 925 Sterling silver partly gold-plated 22k. Authentically made in Greece, and shipped from USA Saint Demetrios is the Patron Saint of Thessaloniki and his feast day is celebrated on October 26. He is often depicted atop a horse, slaying Tsar Kalyan of Zagora, a Bulgarian king who attempted to invade Thessaloniki in the 13th century. Although Saint Demetrios had been long dead by then, he is attributed with keeping Thessaloniki safe throughout many attempted sieges in the city’s history.

We always have a great experience ordering from the friendly people at The Art of the Icon. They are very helpful and the products are beautiful quality. Our customers love these icons (seriographs) created in Greece. These lovely pieces allow the faithful to enjoy iconography in their homes at reasonable price points. The small magnet icons are particularly popular in our shop.

The customers at my organization are loving the icons from The Art of the Icon. There are some less expensive options but people have been spending more money for these icons because the quality is great! The price is good and they always ship carefully and quickly.
