A classic, often referred to as a cigar coffee, grown in volcanic soil on a plateau that extends from approx. 1,300 to 1,700 masl southwest of Batur. Grade1 and Triple Picked indicate that this is the absolute best sorting. "Triple picked" means that it is hand-sorted three times. As this is a washed coffee, it has some acidity and here the associations go with dried fruit. Still, it belongs more to the category, full-bodied, dry, sweet. This is a coffee with character and it is in no way similar to washed coffee from Java and Sumatra. We have given it a moderate treatment in the oven and recommend it for all cooking methods except espresso. The Golden Bean Premium represents something very special!
