This cheese-laden creation has become legendary, with some customers finding it almost overwhelming in its abundance. The Wheel's popularity extends far beyond Antigonish. Its walls are adorned with selfies from around the world, showcasing Antigonishers posing with Wheel Pizza boxes in locations as diverse as Afghanistan and wedding venues. This global recognition speaks to the deep connection many have with this small-town pizzeria. Despite its humble appearance, The Wheel has earned a reputation for reliability and consistency. During severe weather conditions that force other businesses to close, The Wheel often remains open, with owner Mike Hassin famously stating, "People need to eat". This dedication has cemented The Wheel's status as a dependable fixture in the community. For St. FX students, The Wheel is an integral part of the university experience. It's a popular late-night destination, especially after social events, serving as the perfect spot to satisfy post-revelry cravings.
