Each octopus sculpture has been meticulously detailed with hammer and chisel. From the artist Jean Mikerson; I started learning metal sculpting after the death of my parents 12 years. Fortunately i was in the village of Noailles and the fact that i did not have any parent to keep eyes on me I had the freedom to walk around the village to see what people were doing. Curiously. I spent 6 years working in Lesly Val's workshop before I headed to Serge Jolimeau workshop where I spent 13 years. Next I moved from his workshop to rent and have my own workshop. Today i am 37 working in the metal for 25 years. I am born in a family of 4 children, 3 boys and one girl and i am the ELDER, i had to raise 3 children plus myself. Now my 2 brothers and my sister don't depend on me anymore because they do work to earn their own money to live their life. I am not married.
