Report copyright infringement by Abdul Malik (Author), Ali Akbar (Author) THE BROWN CONDOR The Brown Condor is a biography that tells the remarkable true story of John C. Robinson, an African American aviator who overcame racism and exclusion in the United States to become a pioneering fighter pilot and aviation leader. Denied opportunities at home, Robinson took his skills abroad, playing a crucial role in building the Ethiopian Air Force and defending Ethiopia during the Italian invasion of the 1930s. The book highlights his courage, technical brilliance, and global impact, restoring long-overdue recognition to a largely forgotten figure in aviation and Black history. Abdul Malik AliAkbar is a community advocate, religious leader, and author whose work bridges global experience with local empowerment. Deeply committed to the African Diaspora, he spent two years living and studying in East Africa, immersing himself in the cultures and histories that shaped the later life of aviation pioneer John Charles Robinson. This experience strengthened his understanding of resilience, legacy, and the ongoing struggle for dignity and opportunity among marginalized communities. Abdul Malik later devoted two years to intensive religious study in Mecca, cultivating a worldview rooted in service, spiritual discipline, and truth. In 2001, he taught English in the United Arab Emirates at the grade school, high school, and college levels. After returning to the United States, he embraced a calling to education, mentorship, and service. He has since dedicated himself to serving inner-city communities throughout the Bay Area, supporting African American youth and families through faith-based leadership, mentoring, and grassroots organizing. Through his writing and advocacy, Abdul Malik honors past legacies while inspiring future generations to lead with purpose and integrity.
