Each summer, chili pequins—the only pepper native to Texas and the state’s official native pepper—dot the Texas landscape with pops of vibrant red. Our version of a hot hot honey, infused with these Texas-grown fiery gems, brings a bold kick to everything from vanilla bean ice cream to grilled meats and roasted veggies. Two Hives Honey is woman-owned and Austin-grown, and all of our honey is harvested and bottled in small batches with flavors as unique as the blooms our bees visit. Note on crystallization: All of our honey is raw honey, meaning that our honey has never been heated or filtered. Only limited straining has been used to remove the beeswax from the comb. This means all of our honey does crystallize fairly quickly. Crystallized honey still contains all the flavor and health benefits of raw honey, and has simply changed texture.
