Fruity, tangy and exotic with a hint of roasted coffee, Coffee Blossom Honey comes from southern Mexico. Coffee honeys vary from one another almost as much as the terroir of each type of coffee bean. The bean is found in the red juicy fruit of the coffee cherry. Native to tropical Africa, coffee is now grown through the world’s tropical and subtropical regions. It is one of the world’s most valuable and widely traded commodities. from Since coffee plantations require a variety of plants and trees to help shade the coffee trees, the honey is a blend of whichever plants are blooming during the coffee bloom. Coffee blossoms are creamy white, delicate, and sweet. An abundance of these beautiful blossoms indicates a bountiful coffee bean harvest, and also sends the bees on a frenzy to gather the nectar. I absolutely love the honey that comes from The Hive out of Woodland California. if you are ever in Woodland California you have to stop by and visit this place. The food is phenomenal. Plus you get to taste 35+ different flavors of honey. They are a family owned business and been making honey for decades.
