Grown in Noto, in the south of Sicily, Boniviri toasted almonds are of the Pizzuta di Avola variety, among the most valuable and chosen for Sicilian haute cuisine and pastry. Fruits of the sun and patience of Boniviri farmers, grown in full respect of nature and its times, preserving the local agri-food heritage. A small supply of 250 g in a toasted version, thus improving the nutritional and sensory profile of the almond. The high temperature is responsible for the formation of compounds that give the almond aroma and a strong taste, as well as promoting the release of polyphenols with an antioxidant action, linked to the skin. Toasted almonds are easier to digest than the natural one, thanks to the formation of microcracks and increased permeability to gastric juices.
