This striking poster, crafted by A.M. Cassandre in 1935, showcases the majestic prow of an ocean liner belonging to the French Line of Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. With masterful skill, he captured the grandeur and elegance of the vessel as it cuts through the vast expanse of the ocean. A.M. Cassandre (1901-1968), born Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron, was a prominent French graphic designer, painter, and poster artist, known for his contributions to the Art Deco movement. Among his best-known pieces are the innovative travel posters he created for various transportation companies. He's also notable for his design of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent logo! His ability to combine bold colors, dynamic typography, and geometric forms made his posters iconic. Our prints are suitable for framing or can be used as is for wall display. This product was custom-designed and created at our location in Seattle.
