This one, made of colorless pressed molded glass with a beautiful transparency, consists of a round plate with a slightly raised edge and a hemispherical dome topped with a knob handle with a collar. The whole is of elegant sobriety, without superfluous decoration, where the quality of the glass speaks for itself. This type of individual pressed-glass butter dish is characteristic of French glass production from the 1950s to the 1970s, a period when tableware favored functional shapes and durable materials.
