Aromaland Essential Oil - pure, therapeutic grade, offered in various sizes. Sandalwood Australian, Santalum album, is steam distilled from the wood of trees growing in Australia. It is more affordable than Indian Sandalwood, and has a similar but slightly more smoky aroma. Indian sandalwood has been overharvested and Australian sandalwood offers an alternative that is more sustainable and affordable. Its aroma is dry-woody, deep, soft, warm, smoky, and luxurious. It is incredibly intense, so it should be used quite sparingly. Sandalwoods calm anxiety, offer aphrodisiac qualities, and encourage a restful sleep. In body care products, sandalwoods give moisturizing and skin nurturing properties. Aromaland offers both Australian and East Indian Sandalwood 100%, or diluted to 10% in fine jojoba carrier oil. Dilute all essential oils with use. Some essential oils may be contraindicated with certain medical conditions.
