A three-color risoprint of the Utrecht City Theatre. This magnificent building, designed by architect Dudok, was built between 1937 and 1941. The beautiful curved lines of the rear facade are enhanced by the reflection in the water and also by the contrast with the straight, transparent dome added over the stage tower in 1995. Beautiful details, weird contrasts, impressive ugliness, it can all be an inspiration. Risography is a technique that uses a duplicating machine to print colours separately, layer by layer. Risography uses semi-transparent inks based on vegetable oil. Due to the technology, each print is slightly different, which makes each print unique.
