Classic Indian masala tea spice blend. Cardamom forward, spicy and complex. Combine with our "Classic Indian Tea", sugar, and milk for a classic Chai that is much much better than boxed chai. Quivr Chai Recipe Makes 1 gallon of concentrate to be mixed with milk or alt milk at time of service. 1. [Sugar and spice] In a large vessel (min 1 gal) mix: • 1 Cup sugar • 2 Tbsp (9g) Mukunda’s Masala Chai Spice • 1 Cup of water just off the boil. Stir and set aside. 2. [Tea] In a second large vessel mix: • 7 oz (200g) Quivr Classic Indian Tea • 1 Gallon of 195 degree water. Stir and set aside to steep for 10 mins. 3. Strain [Tea] into [Sugar and spice] through a fine mesh strainer and stir. If necessary add water (or ice) to bring the final yield to 1 finished gallon. Stir. *** Refrigerate until serving. *** For serving: Mix concentrate with preferred milk in a ratio of 60/40 chai to milk. Steam with an espresso machine and serve.
