We are a bookstore, so I initially ordered these candles for their literary marketing. But once I got them, I became obsessed--they smell soooo good. Nothing is overly sweet, floral, or cloying; there are a lot of complex and classy scents that don't feel gendered (I have some in my home and my husband loves them just as much as I do). The best part? Our customers feel the same. I continue to reorder and like trying different sizes around our space. Plus, good packaging. Highly recommend!

Fantastic company. My stores have been carrying Hearth & Hammer candles for several years. One of my employees found these at a north-side Chicago bookstore and took pics to show to me. When I saw the packaging and the literary bent to the candles, I was sold. I made a big order and sold out. Just made another order and sold 4 within five minutes of putting them out. Very distinctive scents, but quite natural-smelling with interesting combinations.

We have been stocking this brand for several years, and it consistently sells for us! We've tried pretty much all of the available sizes, styles (including the adorable mini "coal" candles around the holidays for stocking stuffers) and we haven't had any misses. The bookish packaging is perfect for our store. The scents feel upscale and complex, nothing too sweet. I've also purchased a few to take home myself, and the throw is really good.
