The production process includes the abundant rainwater from the Kakita River springs, which is rich in nutrients. Superb selection of really unique items! I was initially a little skeptical on how these would fit in to our store, as we are mostly cheese and charcuterie focused, but they've really taken off. Packaging is always superb, and I love the flexibility to order single items - makes it much easier to try new things. My one quibble would be that the Faire descriptions on some items aren't for the right item - luckily it is easy to go to Umami Insider's website to get correct text.

this review is difficult for me because I enjoy their products, but they don’t seem to care about customer service and good protective packaging. three separate shipments were damaged, and Umami didn’t make efforts to change the protective packaging. I asked her to individually wrap each bottle after the first damaged shipment..She literally texted no. Notice only one or two pieces of bubble wrap in the picture. Wafer thin boxes. Faire tried to negotiate on my behalf. They ignored Faire.
