Small communities of artisans are responsible for cultivating, collecting, processing, and preparing the straw for weavers and buyers. The know-how has been passed down to them from previous generations. With our daily efforts, we help to promote and preserve the toquilla tradition for future generations. CARE: Our products are made of toquilla straw. As you well know, it is a handmade product, as it is hand-woven by master weavers in Ecuador. In dry climates or when exposed to the sun, the straw must be humidified from time to time with a water vaporizer.
