Sea Bags creates totes and accessories handcrafted from recycled sails on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine. Since 1999, we’ve built our brand on three enduring principles: Made in the USA, sustainable by design, and rooted in our local community. No two Sea Bags are exactly alike. Each piece begins as a retired sail, shaped by wind and water, then hand-cut and sewn—resulting in subtle variations that make every bag truly one of a kind. By reclaiming sail cloth, we’ve diverted more than 1.5 million pounds of material from landfills—transforming it into durable, functional designs with a second life.
