About SHICATO HANDCRAFTED

My name is Shirley I am from Ecuador. I like to design and work together with my collaborators who have helped me to create this small shop.I am a social entrepreneur. I celebrate craftsmanship! Collaborates with local artisans, especially women, I create work in rural areas of the Equator where employment is scarce. I Manufacture and design pieces from the fundamental principle of conservation of artisan techniques, we produce small collections that make them unique pieces. SHICATO empowers women to make a better life for themselves, their families and communities.it creates not only jobs but also self-confidence, pride, positivity, and change. We want ecological responsibility, a clean, safe, fair and responsible industry. We believe in an industry that values the people, the environment, the creativity that receives profits in an equitable way. In a world of massive marketing, traditional handcrafts and indigenous manufacturing methods are lost each day, supporting local handcrafting will preserve cultures and communities.
