The sugar molds were used in Mexico to form what they called (piloncillo), a dark, hard, cone-shaped sugar, almost like molasses. That is how you buy brown sugar in Mexico, even today. This Antique sugar mold measures about 37-39 inches in length. They are about 4.5 inches tall and about 3.5 inches wide. The holes are about 4 inches deep and about 2 inches wide. Now, customers purchase these for decor. NOTE: These are old and will therefore be a bit rough, with cracks, holes, and splinters Please buy accordingly.. but they are so beautiful!!
